Spiced Ground Goat Meat Tacos

Ingredients:

For the ground goat meat:

  • 1 pound ground goat meat

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1/4 cup water or broth

For the taco toppings:

  • 8 small corn tortillas

  • Shredded lettuce or cabbage

  • Diced tomatoes

  • Chopped cilantro

  • Crumbled queso fresco or feta cheese

  • Lime wedges

  • Sliced avocado

  • Salsa or hot sauce (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent.

  2. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another minute until fragrant.

  3. Add the ground goat meat to the skillet and break it up with a spatula. Cook the meat until it's browned and cooked through.

  4. Stir in the ground cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the meat evenly with the spices.

  5. Pour in the water or broth and let the mixture simmer for a few minutes until the liquid reduces and the flavors meld together.

  6. While the meat is cooking, warm the corn tortillas. You can do this by placing them directly on a gas stove burner over medium heat for a few seconds on each side or by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and microwaving for about 30 seconds.

  7. To assemble the tacos, place a spoonful of the seasoned ground goat meat in the center of each tortilla.

  8. Top the tacos with shredded lettuce or cabbage, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, crumbled queso fresco or feta cheese, and sliced avocado.

  9. Squeeze some fresh lime juice over the toppings for extra flavor.

  10. Serve the ground goat meat tacos with your favorite salsa or hot sauce on the side, if desired.

Enjoy your delicious and flavorful ground goat meat tacos!
