Goat Meat Chorizo

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground goat meat

  • 2 tablespoons chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spiciness)

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

We also offer Goat Meat Chorizo Spice Packets.

Instructions:

  1. Mix the Spices:

    • In a bowl, combine the chili powder, paprika, ground cumin, dried oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the spice blend.

  2. Season the Goat Meat:

    • In a separate bowl, place the ground goat meat. Add the spice blend and white vinegar to the meat. Mix thoroughly using your hands to evenly distribute the spices. You can use gloves to protect your hands from the spices if you prefer.

  3. Let the Flavors Marinate:

    • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the seasoned goat meat for at least 2 hours or overnight. This allows the flavors to meld and develop.

  4. Cook the Chorizo:

    • In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

    • Add the seasoned goat meat to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.

    • Cook the chorizo for about 5-7 minutes, or until the meat is browned and fully cooked.

  5. Adjust Seasoning and Serve:

    • Taste the cooked chorizo and adjust the seasoning if needed, adding more salt, pepper, or spices according to your preference.

  6. Serve:

    • Goat meat chorizo can be used in a variety of dishes, such as tacos, burritos, scrambled eggs, or as a filling for stuffed peppers. Serve it alongside your favorite accompaniments and enjoy the spicy flavors.

Note: Chorizo is known for its spiciness, so feel free to adjust the level of cayenne pepper to your desired heat level. You can also customize the recipe by adding chopped onions, minced garlic, or other herbs and spices that you enjoy.
